Butterfly beads – a new free paper bead printable with a spring feel to it!
Although it’s only a few days since I released my last free printable with the Buddha design, I already have this new one for you.
Why so fast? And why butterfly beads?
Well after the free Buddha design was released on Saturday, one of my lovely regular viewers told me she loved the colours but does not wear anything with a Buddha on it.
And it got me thinking. Although lots of people have downloaded the free Buddha printable, perhaps there are many others who would prefer not to have a Buddha symbol.
Although I didn’t use the Buddha in a religious way, maybe for some people, this symbol could clash with their faith.
And so I got to work to create a design that would allow people to make butterfly beads instead.
I used the same rainbow colored bead strip base but replaced the Buddha with a butterfly to make it ok for everyone to use regardless of their faith.
There is a very quick video to go with this new free printable.
You can click here to see the video.
In it I show you how I made charms out of my beads as well this time and how I make a very small, neat hole in the paper bead to get a jump ring in.
I also show how I glaze the butterfly beads with a different sealer than the one I used on the Buddha beads to get a glass like finish.
I will be be back again soon with another post and video showing you how I made some pretty, ornate paper beads to make earrings.
And as usual, there will be a free printable for you.
