Paper butterflies are so pretty!
Lately I have been obsessed with creating paper butterflies, so I designed three printables to use in my art journals.

Today, I am sharing those designs with you so you can use them in your spring art and craft projects.
The third free printable shows what I did with one of the sheets of paper butterflies.
They all looked so pretty and abstract laid out higgledy piggledy on a plain background.
So I photographed them and turned into a pretty abstract image.
You can do this too if you print the paper butterflies and fussy cut round them all.

Cutting does require a tiny pair of sharp sewing scissors and some patience but it is worth it.
When I created these abstract paper butterflies to use in my projects, I wanted a choice of sizes.
So I created nine different butterflies which I then made into three different sizes, small, medium and large.
I also wanted to have some very colourful ones and some that were plainer.
What can you do with my paper butterflies?
Well that is up to you and your imagination!
I had great fun arranging them on plain backgrounds in varying numbers and photographing them.
You could use the pictures you take to create greeting cards or gift tags.
Mine will be used in my art journals where I will stick them down and paint on and around them.

Make sure you use good paper – I use Navigator Colour document paper I get from Tesco’s.
