Printable Paper Bead Strips

printable paper bead strips

Printable paper bead strips are the perfect starting point for turning simple paper into beautiful, handmade treasures.

Since my last video, I have been working hard to bring you more printable paper bead strips.

This time, my free printable pdf has a very different theme to the last one.

If you want to see my, (Gilly Maddison), back catalogue of free printables click here.

I do have a few Terms & Conditions of using my printables and you can see them here.

I’ve created these paper bead strips with ancient Aztec patterns in mind.

The Aztec look inspired me to create beads with strong geometric lines and colors.

You will see there are, once again, eight bead strips on the A4 pdf printable – 3/4 inch wide.

And they are eight completely different designs – so they create eight very different paper beads.

For this project, I wanted to make a three strand necklace, for which I needed 64 paper beads.

So I printed my A4 paper bead strip design off eight times.

That gave me the 64 paper beads I needed.

It sounds like a lot, but it didn’t take me that long to cut all 64 paper bead strips.

And it didn’t take me that long to roll 64 paper beads either.

To help me along, I listen to podcasts that interests me while I roll my paper bead strips into beads.

With these Aztec themed beads, I listened to an Aldous Huxley audio book on YouTube.

It was his famous little book, The Doors of Perception.

I was reminded of it recently and remembered how I’d loved the parts I truly understood.

This time, I decided to listen to see if it helped me to digest it better – and it did!

If I’m absorbed in listening to something, it doesn’t take long at all to roll lots of paper beads.

Some people have told me they roll theirs while watching TV.

As with my last post about the previous printable paper bead strips, there is a video to watch.

You can see my YouTube video here.

Parts of it may be repetitive to regular viewers.

But please be patient as new crafters may not know what you know.

In the video, I mention again, paper bead rolling tools – something you need to roll paper beads more easily.

The cut paper bead strips need to be rolled up to create the beads.

Some of my long term followers will know, I used to manufacture and sell my own paper bead rolling tools.

However, I don’t anymore – instead I encourage you to make your own.

Below are two previous posts I have written which include sections on making your own paper bead tool.

So if you want to make your own paper bead roller – have a look at these posts.

There are video links in them too.

And click here to go to the other one.

Just scroll through the above posts until you get to the sections where I talk about making paper bead tools.

The part you really need to help make the bead rolling process easier is the slotted pin.

And they are very easy to get hold of on Amazon.

It is best to have a handle to hold the pin but not 100% necessary, unless you have hand issues.

I often just roll my beads using the pin only.

There is an art to it that you soon get used to.

But if you do want a handle to fit the pin in, you can get an easy fit one here.

Hope you enjoy my latest free printable paper bead strips.

One last thing you need to know…

A few people have contacted me over in the YouTube comments to say they find it confusing on this website to find my free printables.

So I am putting the link to my FREE printables in capital letters in the caption directly underneath the picture of the free printable.

Nothing can separate a picture and it’s caption, so just look for the picture of my free printable and the caption will be right under it.

Starting with this post, I am going to put the picture and link close to the start of each post for all my free printables now.

MY pictures always have my name and copyright stamp on them.

People have mentioned that it’s hard to tell what is mine here and what are a d s.

So always look to see if my name, Gilly Maddison, is on the picture you are looking at.

I hope that helps readers clarify what is my content.

Thanks so much for reading this far and please subscribe here so you get each post as it comes out.

I will never share your email with anyone – they are used solely to notify you of new posts.

See you next time – bye until then.
