All my free printables are stored on Google Drive to save space on this website.
Also storing lots of large images on websites slows them down, so, mine are on my Google Drive.
I will get to the paper beads design templates in a minute but first a couple of other things.
Please read the Terms & Conditions of downloading and using my free printables here.
There aren’t many, but please respect the ones I do have so we remain friends!

Ok! What about this paper beads design template?
Well many of you know I make and sell a clear plastic A4 paper bead template for drawing out strips in 8 sizes.

And many of you have bought one from me on etsy.
This template is crystal clear which makes it easy to draw out strips top to tail, very close to each other.
Using this paper bead design template, you can draw out a whole page of strips very quickly and neatly.
You can see the video about my A4 paper bead strip template in eight sizes here.
In that video, I also show you how to make your own paper bead rolling tool.
But if that isn’t your thing – see further down this post for news of my new ergonomic paper bead tool.

The paper beads template allows you to make best use of your paper by drawing the strips close to each other.
Having this paper bead design template makes life so much easier for paper beaders.
I actually designed it because I wanted something to help speed up the process of drawing out the strips.
This clear A4 paper bead strip drawing template costs £18.50 plus postage (at the time I wrote this) and you can get it in my etsy shop.
But now, you can also get my new paper beads strip templates in sets of three single strip templates.
These single strip templates come in two designs.
There’s the tapered tube bead set and the traditional tapered set.

So what is the difference between the two sets of paper bead strip templates?
Well, the tapered set lets you draw out strips in the traditional long triangle shape in three sizes.
The set has 1inch, 3/4 inch and 1/2 inch slots that make strips around 10 inches long.
The tapered tube bead set creates beads that have a long tube design but with slightly tapered ends.
Tapered tube beads tend to show off specific designs and patterns much better.
The tapered tube strips are slightly shorter than the tapered set.
You can find both these sets in my etsy shop.

Aside from my new paper beads design templates, I also have a new paper bead rolling tool in my shop.

On this blog, I have several posts about paper bead rolling tools and have sold many various tools over the years.
You can make your own, and I do have a video about that too – it is linked further up this post.
But recently, I spent some time designing a new paper bead tool handle to make it really easy and comfortable to hold.
The thing I wanted most when I designed this new shape was a longer handle than I had made before.
So this one is longer and extends slightly beyond the palm of my hand for easy holding.
It’s also cinched in the middle and has a wider top for making it easier to grip and roll with thumb and index finger.
If you want one of my new paper bead rolling tools, you will find them in my etsy shop here.
I used one of my new templates and my new paper bead roller in my latest video.
In my latest tutorial, I made some beautiful black and silver paper beads.

You can see that YouTube tutorial here.
These paper beads look as if they might be difficult to copy, but they really aren’t once you know how I made them.
Watch the tutorial and if you want to have a go, these are some of the items you might want to buy for the project.
(Please try to source them from your local craft store before buying through these links.)
You will need some 160 gsm black paper card.
Now I’m really not sure what the UK gsm paper weight translates to in other countries.
I think in the USA you will need 65lb to get the same ‘fatness’ of paper beads that I did but you will need to check that out.
You will also need some rubber craft stamps in small decorative patterns such as those I used in the video.
The ones I used where in my collection from years ago but I have sourced some similar on Amazon and they are listed below.

When making paper beads, the width of the finished bead will depend on which template you used.
But the girth of the bead will vary according to the thickness of the paper you use.
Thick paper/card will give you a fatter paper bead than if you use thinner paper/card.
If you follow my tutorial these are the paper beads you will be making.
