#100dayartchallenge Day 7
#100dayartchallenge from Winnington Hall Artists and Studio has really got my creative juices flowing!
Bec Yoxall, a very talented artist I know teaches art in workshops at a place called Winnington Hall Artists and Studio in Cheshire, UK.
When she posted an invitation to join in the #100dayartchallenge that was due to start on April 1st 2017 - my first thought was - 'are you kidding? Is this an April Fool's prank?'
Producing a piece of art every day for 100 days seemed like a massive commitment and not realistic for me.
So guess what, I accepted the challenge because I like to go out of my comfort zone and I am so glad I did.
It isn't a chore at all and I am having no trouble meeting the challenge so far.
I am also getting to see the art being produced by other people involved in the challenge. It is brilliant being part of an online community who are all baring their artistic souls to the world without fear.
In only seven days, I have already learned so much and have enjoyed seeing work I would not otherwise have seen. The challenge was a brilliant idea.
So each day or so, I will be updating this post to include the new pictures as I produce them.
Anyone can take part in the #100dayartchallenge and as far as I am aware, it isn't too late to start now.
To make it a little easier for myself, I have guillotined lots of A4 art card into eights and am using Pro Markers, Sharpies and acrylic paints to produce some teeny art cards which don't take long to complete.
Bec Yoxall has also said absolutely anything goes so I am also using photography to produce images that I can use as a basis for artwork and also creating some art from scratch in Photoshop.
And I'm having great fun pushing boundaries, learning more as I go and not being afraid of being 'wrong'.
Those taking part in the challenge are really supportive of each others work - the Facebook page has a great atmosphere.
Can you meet the #100dayartchallenge?
Are you creative or do you want to be but don't have the confidence to try expressing yourself through art?
Visit the Facebook page of the challenge and see for yourself what everyone is doing - you will see that everyone involved is doing their own thing and enjoying themselves in the process.
